Sivan Temple

    There are thirty two Thiruthalam (abode) for Lord Shiva in Thondai Nadu and Thakkolam holds twelfth place among them. Thakkolam is famous for its seven Shiva temples and among them four are popular. The most popular temple, namely, Jalanatheeswarar temple was visited by one of the four great saivite saint-poets, Thirugnanasambandar.
